About the Board of Directors 

The Board of Austin Discovery School assumes ultimate responsibility for the management, operation, and accountability of Austin Discovery School. The Board conducts business primarily through meetings. Meetings of the Board are held in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act. 

The principles of open government also dictate that the public be informed about what items the Board will discuss and take action on at its meetings, so that members of the public can decide if they wish to be present. The Board will discuss and take action at its meetings only on items that appear on the agenda for the meeting.

ADS Board Vacancy Notice

The Board of Directors is seeking thoughtful and dynamic individuals to serve on the Board of Directors. Ideal candidates will have skills in any of the following areas:

• Non-profit management or organizational management

• Finance or accounting

• Educational policy

• Marketing/Communications

Join Us at the Next Board Meeting

Public comments are welcome and encouraged during the Public Comments portion of the agenda for Board meetings (usually first – refer to the meeting agenda). After the public comments session, guests are welcome to stay to observe the Board's deliberation for open session.

Public comment according to ADS Board Policy §500.020 Texas Open Meetings Act. Refer to the ADS Board Public Comments Policy.

Agendas are posted at least 72 hours prior to the meeting in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act.
