Welcome to Austin Discovery School's Lunch Program!

While most students bring a lunch packed at home, we feel that having a school-based option is an important service to our community. To meet this goal we have enlisted Crave-It Nutrition to be our school lunch vendor. Parents will have multiple healthy meal options to choose from and can even opt for larger or smaller portions depending on their child’s needs.  Crave-It has an online ordering system that allows you to view the lunch menu months in advance, order, prepay and manage student  lunches from a smartphone, tablet, or computer. Cost, and Enrollment for the Free/Reduced Price Lunch Program:

Caregivers are eligible for the Free/Reduced Price Lunch Program if they meet the Federal Income Eligibility Guidelines, or if your student is directly certified through state-funded benefits like the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) or Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF). You can apply for these here. 

To Get Enrolled in Our Free/Reduced Lunch Program You Will Need To:

• Follow the link above and create your account with Crave-It Nutrition. 

• Complete all school-enrollment details in Ascender and notify our Front Office Manager, Stephanie Seymour, at 512-674-0700 that you would like your student to be enrolled in the program. We will make sure Crave-It receives approval for your free/reduced pricing. 

• Log back into your account with Crave-It and order for your student(s). (If you still do not see the free/reduced payment option when checking-out then contact their customer-support at: billing@craveitnutrition.com)

Emergencies and Special Circumstances:

If you don't meet the Federal Income Eligibility Guidelines but your child arrives at school without lunch, they will always have the option of receiving a meal from the school – we keep extras on hand for such situations. Your child's name will be added to our lunch list, and you'll be billed the standard rate for it. (Teachers check on their students to ensure they have food and encourage those who may need it to visit the lunch line to prevent anyone from going hungry.) 

We are committed to providing meals for children who are in need. If you're facing a family loss, houselessness, or another significant temporary emergency, please contact our front office. We will collaborate with you to ensure your child is fed.
